The climate in Andaman & Nicobar Island: These islands have a tropical climate and it is always pleasant throughout the year. It is neither too cold, nor too hot, Summer is from February to mid-June and it would get hot and humid in these months, but the weather remains pleasant in the evening.These islands have two rainy seasons here. First influenced by the Southwest monsoon from mid-May to September. Another rainy season caused by the Northeast monsoon from November to mid-January. But this second spell of rain does not hamper sight-seeing activities in the Andaman Islands.

Connecting to Andaman & Nicobar Island: You can either fly or sail into these islands. Port Blair, the capital of A & N islands, has the only airport on Andaman and Nicobar. Flights to Port Blair are available from Delhi, Kolkata, and Mumbai and also from, Hyderabad, Chennai, Bangalore, and Vishakapatnam.

The next option for the adventurous freak is to travel by Sea route on Ships. The ship Travel time is roughly 60 hours and you can start from either, from Vizag, Kolkata or Chennai on scheduled dates.

What to Carry for your Andaman & Nicobar Island Trip? Mosquito lotion along with good sunscreen lotion not to be forgotten, in addition to your swimsuit, sunglasses, hat, raincoat, light clothing. If you are traveling with children, it is a good idea to carry the basic medical kit with you at all times. Only Port Blair has advanced medical care. Other islands have just simple medical care, so bear this in mind when planning your travel.

What and Where to eat in Andaman & Nicobar Island: Andaman is a confluence of Tamil and Bengali Culture, as such their cuisine is widely available. Gujrati and Marwari food is easily available. Keep in mind to carry enough water and eatables with you when on local sightseen tours in Andaman because good food is not available at the remote area in Andaman island. While many Small stops seem fine, seafood is fresh where you find more crowds. Ask the local people for good advice, here are a few options.

Luxury and Govt. ferries, Public bus, private cars and charted helicopter rides take care of the transportation on these islands. You can rent private cabs   and bicycles even motorbikes
